FAQs
Have questions? We have answers!
Are your puppies registered?
Yes! All of our puppies go home with CKC registration paperwork.
Where do the puppies live until pick up?
Our Westie and Scottie parents and all puppies live indoors in our homes with us, in clean comfortable spaces. They have their own crates, beds, blankets. We do not use concrete kennels and they are always in a warm comfortable environment. The parents are fed a healthy diet, they're allowed on furniture, they have regular vet visits, up to date on vaccines, and they're walked daily. They are our pets first and we love them.
Where are you located? Do you deliver?
We are located in Vonore, Tennessee. We do deliver within a 1 hour drive from our address for free. We will deliver anywhere within the US if travel is covered. Travel by car requires covering gas to pick up and hotel stay if required. Travel by air requires airline ticket coverage and the fee for travelling with a pet (typically $75-$150). We will shop around and/or use points to try to find the best price on a ticket. Airfare and gas must be paid before delivery date. Our puppies go home around 6 weeks. We have an entire week dedicated to pick up. If you need us to board your puppy past the pick up window, we are happy to pup sit for up to an additional week for $50/day for up to 3 weeks. Please let us know if you would need boarding beyond 3 weeks.
Is there a deposit? How is it paid?
There is a non refundable, $200 deposit for all puppies. The deposit goes towards the total cost of your puppy. All puppies regardless of size, gender or breed are $1500. We accept cash in person, Venmo, Cashap, Paypal, or Apple Pay. If your form of payment charges a fee, that fee will be added to the total due at pick up. We do not accept checks. Please note, if cash deposit is paid in person, you may peek at the puppies, but you will not be allowed to hold them or see them for long due to health and safety of puppies and mama. The only exception to it being non refundable is if we do not produce enough genders to satisfy our waiting list. In that case you may choose to get a refund, choose a different gender, or push your deposit to the next litter.
Can I come pick out my puppy?
We keep a waiting list for those who have paid the deposit for a puppy. It is first come. Once a litter is born, we reach out in order of gender preference to let them know if we have enough boys or girls for their preference. Once the puppies are 4 weeks old, you will pick your puppy based on current photos/videos of the puppies. We do this so you can see more of what they’re going to look like, it’s hard to tell when they’re so fresh and new! We also know a little bit more about their personalities and can help you choose if you’re looking for something specific. We try to post accurate photos of each puppy we have available. We do not allow any visitors their first few weeks. If you would prefer to pick out your puppy in person, you're welcome to come see them after they're 4 weeks old. But we cannot hold a puppy without a deposit, so if you choose to wait to come see them before placing a deposit, you do run the risk of none being available. Please note, visits are limited to a strict 20 minutes. This is for their health and safety. It is very important for them to stay with their litter mates and mama as long as possible. Separation can cause anxiety for pup and mama. If you have paid for a puppy, and as you see photos posted you decide you'd prefer a different one, you may switch puppies once as long as they are available.
Are the puppies vaccinated?
Most of our puppies go home between 6-7 weeks. Our vet does not vaccinate until 8 weeks onward. We take all pups to the vet before they go to their new homes. If you prefer they stay until they're 8 weeks and get their vaccines, there is an additional fee of $100 to cover the additional vet visit and vaccines. All puppies are tested for worms/derwormed before going home. Westies are prone to skin allergies and we have found that by staggering out their vaccines instead of giving them all to them at once when they're so little, can prevent skin allergies in the future. Please refer to your vets advice for your puppy.
Do you offer a health guarantee?
Yes, we offer a 72 hour health guarantee. If within 72 hours of taking your puppy home and to the vet, if the vet declares the puppy is in poor health (excluding normal puppy things), we will offer a full refund after the return of the puppy and paperwork from the vet is recieved.
Allergies?
Westies and Scotties can be prone to skin allergies. What has worked for us to combat that is to keep our Westies on a completely chicken free diet. This includes chicken by products and chicken meal. Our westies do not have skin allergies and we believe that delayed vaccines and no chicken is the main reason for this. If your puppy starts to struggle with allergies, please reach out and we will try to help you come up with a solution!
